New Features

Syncro MCP Server

Plan Availability: All Plans

The Syncro MCP Server connects Syncro directly to the AI tools technicians and admins already use, like Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor, and Copilot. Ask a question or give an instruction in plain language, and get real answers pulled straight from live Syncro data or take action on the spot, from your phone, your laptop, wherever you're working.

Core Capabilities:

  • Native MCP Server Connection: Connects to any MCP-compatible AI assistant through standard OAuth sign-in, with the AI assistant automatically detecting available Syncro tools once connected.
  • Ready-To-Use Prompt Library: Get started quickly with a set of ready-to-run prompts for the workflows you already do daily and weekly, like tech queue triage, SLA breach review, onsite visit prep, ticket creation from a call transcript, billing cleanup, quarterly business reviews and more.
  • Entity Resolution: Recognizes a customer or contact by name and resolves it to the exact Syncro record, with no need to know or look up a Syncro ID.
  • Permission Inheritance: Inherits the signed-in user's existing Syncro permissions, so access never exceeds what that person already has in the Syncro UI.
  • Approval-Gated Write Actions: Returns read queries instantly, but shows the exact change it's about to make and waits for explicit technician approval before creating or updating any record; delete operations aren't yet supported.
  • Built-in OAuth 2.1 Security: Every AI agent connecting through the Syncro MCP server authenticates via OAuth 2.1, with token scoping and expiration built in. No static API keys, no standing access.
  • MCP Registry Listing: The Syncro MCP is a verified server in the Official MCP Registry, making it easy to find it in GitHub, VS Code, Docker, and other connector marketplaces.

Syncro Data and Tools Included:

  • Tickets: See, search, and filter every ticket by customer or status. Create, update, log time.
  • Invoicing: Pull invoices by customer, amount, or status. Create, add line items, email and print.
  • Customers: Look up customer and contact records in seconds. Keep existing details current.
  • Assets: See every device tied to a customer's account. Add new assets or update what's on file.
  • Appointments: Check the schedule for any customer. Book new appointments and update details.
  • Alerts: See active alerts tied to a specific device. Log a new one when something needs tracking.
  • Products: Browse the product and service catalog. Add new entries or update pricing.
  • Search: Run one search across tickets, customers, assets, invoices, and products.
  • Syncro Documentation Center: Ask and get answers about Syncro platform functionality.

Automated Ticket Triage & Dispatch - Open Beta

Plan Availability: Team / IT Plans Only

Team leads lose 30 to 60 minutes every morning acting as an accidental dispatcher, sorting through a queue that should never have piled up unassigned. Automated Ticket Triage & Dispatch scores every ticket for priority and matches it to the right technician the second it's created, so nothing waits for someone to notice it. Set Ticket Triage and Ticket Dispatch to “Suggest” for one-click approval or “Assign” for a fully hands-off queue, together or independently for each.

Core Capabilities:

  • AI-Powered Priority Classification: Scores ITIL type, classification, urgency, impact, and VIP status the moment a ticket is created, then assigns a priority from Low to Urgent based on context rather than keywords alone.
  • Calendar Availability Filtering: Excludes any technician over a 75% utilization threshold, out sick, or out of office from the candidate pool automatically, using connected Outlook or Google Calendar data, with working-hours-aware scoring available for Outlook.
  • Smart Dispatch Matching: Scores every eligible technician on problem-type experience, category fit, recent related work, workload, and history with the specific customer, crediting every technician who logged meaningful work on a ticket in the last three months, not only whoever it was assigned to.
  • Inline Recommendation Mode: Displays a suggested priority and assignee directly on the ticket index and detail page, greyed out until approved with one click or overridden through the standard assignment dropdown, with every decision logged to the ticket's change history.
  • Fully Automated Mode: Applies the AI's priority or technician suggestion the instant a ticket is created, with no approval step, tagging every AI-set ticket "Auto-assigned" so it's clear which values a human confirmed.
  • Independent Triage and Dispatch Controls: Set Ticket Triage and Ticket Dispatch independently in Admin Settings under AI Preferences, each with three states (Disabled, Suggest, or Assign), so no account moves to Assign mode without deliberately choosing it.
  • Continuous Improvement: Logs every recommendation and override to train the system toward a team's actual preferences over time, surfacing in-app guidance at the moment a dispatcher disagrees with a suggestion.

Script Execution via Public API

Plan Availability: All Plans

Manual script runs cap what your monitoring stack, self-service portal, or PSA can automate on their own, since every trigger still needs someone logging into Syncro and clicking Run. API Script Execution lets those external systems queue a script on a specific Asset directly, so a failed service check, an approved portal request, or a webhook from another tool can kick off remediation the moment it's needed instead of waiting on a technician.

Core Capabilities:

  • REST API Script Trigger: Send an authenticated HTTP POST request specifying the target `asset_id` and `script_id` to queue a script for immediate execution on that Asset, no Syncro UI required.
  • Dynamic Variable Passing: Pass custom key-value pairs in the API request payload, so a script runs with the exact variables its logic needs for that specific execution.
  • Existing Policy Enforcement: Honors the same agent policies, safety limits, and run-as context (System or Logged-in User) as a script triggered manually inside Syncro.
  • Full Execution Visibility: Logs execution status, exit codes, and output under the Asset's Scripts tab in the Syncro UI, and exposes the same data through existing API endpoints for programmatic monitoring.
  • No Additional Cost: Included in the standard Syncro REST API available to every active subscription tier, with no separate license or fee.

Technician Calendar Sync Improvements

Plan Availability: All Plans

Recurring meetings, out-of-office periods, working hours and free time from connected Google and Outlook calendars now sync reliably into Syncro, so technicians stop getting tickets routed to them during standing blocks and managers get a team availability picture they can actually plan from. Through complete alignment between Syncro Calendar and external source calendars, this update ensures dispatchers and automated scheduling tools can assign tickets without double-booking technicians.

Core Capabilities:

  • Historical & Future Recurring Event Sync: Automatically updates all pre-existing and recurring appointments from 1 year in the past to 2 years in the future.
  • Out of Office (OOO) Blocks: Displays OOO events from Outlook and Google in a distinct lighter shade for immediate visual identification.
  • Outlook Working Hours Display: Non-working hours defined in Outlook automatically render with diagonal stripes in a lighter technician shade. (Note: Google API currently does not expose working hours data).
  • Free & Working Location Blocks: Appointments marked as "Free" and "Working Location" now display border-only styling without solid color fills to visually separate busy vs. available time blocks.
  • Last Sync Indicator: Adds a real-time timestamp indicator next to each technician in the multi-tech calendar view showing exactly when their calendar last synced.

Non-Admin Billing Permissions

Plan Availability: All Plans

Billing managers no longer need full admin rights, or an admin's help, to keep accounting integrations running. New granular permissions let administrators delegate manual re-syncing and customer mapping for QuickBooks and Xero directly to the people who handle billing day to day.

Core Capabilities:

  • Delegated Invoice & Payment Re-Syncing: Billing managers can trigger a manual re-sync to QuickBooks or Xero directly in Syncro when a sync fails, without admin involvement if granted the new applicable permissions.
  • Independent Customer Mapping: Billing staff can map a Syncro customer record to its corresponding QuickBooks or Xero account during onboarding, without waiting on an administrator if granted the applicable permission.
  • Off by Default: New accounting permissions are disabled by default; administrators must explicitly enable them within a Security Group.
  • Dynamic to Active Integration: Permission options match the connected accounting integration, so only QuickBooks or Xero options appear, based on which integration is enabled.

Custom Ticket Status Ordering

Plan Availability: All Plans

Order your ticket queue by status based on urgency, not the alphabet. Custom Ticket Status Ordering applies the same status order you've already set in Ticket Settings to how tickets are grouped on the Ticket page, so techs can see the tickets by the statuses that matter most first instead of hunting for statuses based on alphabetical order.

Core Capabilities:

  • One Setting, Two Views: Reordering Ticket Statuses once in Ticket Settings controls both the assignment dropdown and Ticket page groupings.
  • Works With Any Grouping Layer: Custom order applies whether Status is the primary grouping or secondary grouping nested under Technician or any other grouping option.
  • Applies to Ad-Hoc Views Too: The custom order carries over even when a tech groups tickets on the fly, not just in predefined Ticket Views.
  • Toggle Between Custom and Alphabetical: Admins choose the display mode in Ticket Settings, so teams that prefer alphabetical order can keep it.
  • Account-Wide Setting: Admins set the order once and it applies for the whole team

Quality of Life Improvements & Fixes to Existing Features

We're listening to your requests and making improvements to make Syncro work better for you. Here are some Quality of Life improvements and fixes we've made in this release:

APIs

  • Ticket Timers can now be started, paused, and stopped via new endpoints. See our API documentation for more information.
  • The Ticket API response now includes an attribute of “emailable” which corresponds to email visibility logic in the product.

Assets

  • Fixed an issue with the Wake on Lan action where it would record in the Activity Log but not actually execute if the network adapter of the asset had changed.
  • Fixed an issue with downloading the Linux agent using the curl command that would result in errors.
  • Fixed an issue where the Automated Remediation - List and the Automated Remediation - Create permissions were not enabling the respective functionality when assigned to non Global Admin users.

Customer Organizations

  • Improved the performance of the Customer Organization Quick View that loads throughout the product.
  • Fixed a 500 Internal Server Error when attempting to delete a Customer Organization.

Invoices

  • The Ticket Charge Line Item order is now preserved when converting a Ticket to an Invoice.
  • Fixed an issue where the Invoice subtotal calculated incorrectly when ad-hoc bundles were used.
  • Fixed an issue which could have line item search result drop down scroll away from the line item field.

Microsoft 365 Integration Features

Previously, the Entra ID User Sync would only assign Syncro Assets to Syncro End Users at the point in which the Syncro End User was created by the Entra ID User Sync. Now, if a device assigned to a user in Entra ID matches the MAC or internet address of a Syncro Asset, then it will be assigned to the Syncro End User mapped to the Entra ID User at any time.

Payments

Fixed an issue where in some cases the refund processing failed with "No gateway available to refund payment" (Worldpay & Authorize.net)

Product Bundles

  • It is now possible to sort line items within a bundle on Estimates and Invoices.
  • Fixed an issue where users were unable to select a serial number for products within a Bundle in Ticket Charges.

Reports

Improved the performance of the Communication Log Report.

Tickets

  • The SLA Breached and SLA Breaching Soon indicators now display next to the Ticket Number in all Ticket lists. Previously, the indicators were hidden if Due Dates were not enabled on the Ticket Settings page in Admin even if the ticket had breached or was breaching SLA soon.
  • New Ticket Template Tag is now available: {{comment_sender_name}} shows the name of the person who sent the ticket comment.
  • The Customer column on the Ticket page has now been optimized to include as much of the Customer Name as possible in the column space.
  • Fixed an issue that could cause a 504 Gateway Timeout error on Tickets.
  • Fixed an issue where the "Ticket Timer - Time is Non-billable by Default" setting was not being respected by Timer Entries created with the setting "Enable Detailed Time Entry For Ticket Comments" also enabled.

Windows Agent

  • Fixed an issue with Event Log Monitoring where Microsoft Defender detections (Event ID 1116) in the Windows Defender Operational log failed to trigger RMM alerts.
  • Corrected System Check alert timing so that "Notification After" thresholds are properly honored and failure timers do not unexpectedly reset during routine or manual agent syncs.
  • Digitally signed the RepairTech.Common.Tools.dll and filepusher.exe components to prevent environment verification warnings and ensure smooth background processing execution.
  • Corrected an issue where Windows ARM-based assets incorrectly reported the WOW6432Node display version instead of the true native OS release version under the Asset System Info tab.
  • Fixed an issue where Backgrounding Tools Terminal was not displaying output on Firefox.
