New Features

Microsoft 365 Baselines: Full CIS Coverage

Plan Availability: Team / IT Plans Only

Give every client standardized, audit-ready Microsoft 365 security without manually tracking compliance across tenants. This release completes Syncro's integration of the CIS Microsoft 365 Foundations Benchmark 6.0, adding automated assessment and boolean remediation for every automatable rule. Three new baseline templates, Security Implementation Level 2, Security Implementation Level 3, and the Syncro Secure Rules Library, let you match a tenant's security posture to exactly how mature or regulated that client needs to be.

Core Capabilities:

  • Three New Baseline Templates: Attach Security Implementation Level 2, Security Implementation Level 3, or the comprehensive Syncro Secure Rules Library to any Microsoft 365 tenant from the Baselines dashboard, each building on the foundational Level 1 baseline already in place.
  • 42 Additional Automatable Rules: 42 new rules across the new baseline tiers are now available, completing every assessment rule in the CIS Microsoft 365 Foundations Benchmark 6.0 that can be automated.
  • Boolean Remediation, Not Just Detection: Every new rule with boolean remediations will ship with an automated remediation, so a failed check can be corrected without a technician manually reconfiguring the setting.
  • Twice-Daily Evaluation: Syncro evaluates active rules against each tenant on a recurring 12-hour cycle, so drift gets caught the same day it happens.
  • Fail and Error Status with Alerts: Rules that fail trigger immediate alerts through your enabled notification channels. Rules that can't be evaluated show as Error, flagging licensing gaps, missing M365 service setup, or transient Microsoft issues instead of failing silently.

End User Portal SSO: Auto-Provisioning & Microsoft/Google Sign-In

Plan Availability: All Plans

Getting customers into the End User Portal just got easier. Sign in with Microsoft and Sign in with Google are now built-in login options, with no per-org identity provider setup required. For organizations already using OIDC SSO, auto-provisioning automatically creates a portal user on first login, provided that person already exists as an end user for the organization.

Core Capabilities:

  • Public OAuth Sign-In: Microsoft and Google sign-in buttons appear on the End User Portal login page automatically, with no per-org OIDC configuration needed.
  • OIDC Auto-Provisioning: When OIDC SSO is configured and auto-provisioning is enabled, end users who authenticate via SSO for the first time are provisioned automatically, as long as they already exist as a contact for that organization.
  • Global Toggle: Public OAuth is on by default for new accounts and accounts already on the new End User Portal. Partners can disable it globally at any time.
  • Mixed Environment Support: Email/password login remains available alongside SSO and OAuth, so contractors or users outside the primary directory can still get in.
  • OIDC Takes Precedence: Organizations with OIDC SSO already configured automatically suppress the Microsoft/Google OAuth buttons, so per-org SSO and public OAuth never conflict.

Quality of Life Improvements & Fixes to Existing Features

We're listening to your requests and making improvements to make Syncro work better for you. Here are some Quality of Life improvements and fixes we've made in this release:

APIs

  • Updated Purchase Order API to allow partial receipts and provide serial numbers in a single receive call via POST /api/v1/purchase_orders/:id/receive in order to handle complex receiving workflows (partial shipments, serialized inventory).
  • Updated Purchase Order API to allow the upload of file attachments to a PO via POST.

Assets

  • Fixed an issue where disabling Webroot Integration would also disable Managed AV in policies and uninstall Emsisoft from assets.
  • Fixed an issue where adding a string to the search field within an Asset Saved Search would not further filter the list of assets.
  • Fixed an issue where the Network Discovery scan was not properly creating the install path for Nmap OEM.
  • Fixed an issue where Splashtop remote sessions wouldn't launch on Macs even though the proper permissions were enabled.

Calendar

Fixed an issue where the Google Calendar “Select the calendar to sync to” modal would not scroll with 12 or more calendars, preventing selection of the additional calendars.

Customer Organizations

Fixed an issue where manually updating Prepay Hours on the Organization Overview and/or a Ticket page erases all existing Organization Tags.

Microsoft 365 Features

  • Previously, the Entra ID User Sync would only assign Syncro Assets to Syncro End Users at the point in which the Syncro End User was created by the Entra ID User Sync. Now, if a device assigned to a user in Entra ID matches the MAC or internet address of a Syncro Asset, then it will be assigned to the Syncro End User mapped to the Entra ID User at any time.
  • Fixed an issue preventing baselines from being detached from tenants.

Mobile App

  • Added Notification Center screen which will display any Notifications received by the app.
  • Updated the Asset Detail screen to include Last User, Last Boot Time, and Last Sync information.
  • Fixed an issue where users couldn't save time updates for appointments.
  • Fixed an issue where the Ticket Attachments screen could stall on infinite spinner after upload error.
  • Fixed an issue where the Ticket Create form may not display an error as expected when creating a ticket.
  • Fixed an issue where the Chat Detail message timestamps showed incorrect timezone (2 hours off) in the display.
  • Fixed a bug that would result in the Chat list to not always sort by Most Recent in some cases.

Product Bundles

  • Product Bundles added to Ticket Charges which contain Maintain Stock or Serialized products will now correctly reserve instances for those products.
  • It is now possible to expand a Bundle added to Ticket Charges to see the contents of the Bundle.
  • When adding bundles to Ticket Charges in quantities greater than 1, the bundles will stack as a single line item instead of fanning out. It is still possible to add bundles individually if you want them to show in multiple lines.
  • Now when adding bundles to invoices with the quantity of 2, they should appear as a single line item with x2 of all the contents.
  • When adding Bundles to a Ticket, you can now add more than 1 at a time.
  • Updated Sales Detail Report to make it clear when products are an part of a bundle.
  • Fixed a case where when adding a bundle to a ticket, totals are summed twice until page refresh.
  • Fixed a display bug on Estimates where the Top-level QTY numbers for the Bundle Line item would not correctly reflect the correct QTY entered when creating the line item.

Reports

  • Fixed an issue where Bulk Clear RMM Alerts were not always reflecting in Executive Summary report as Alerts Resolved.
  • Fixed an issue on the Open Balances Report where the calculation for the Net column was not including invoices with no payments applied yet.
  • Improved the performance of the Sales Tax Report.

Tickets

  • Fixed an issue where the Response Time was not getting populated for tickets in certain scenarios.
  • Fixed an issue where tickets were not deleted when using the Select All checkbox option followed by selecting Actions and clicking Delete.
  • Fixed an issue preventing Ticket Views from displaying the correct list of tickets when clicking on page 2 or subsequent pages.
  • "Send Diagnosis Reminders: Hourly" and “Daily Diagnosis Reminder” emails are now sending correctly.
  • Fixed an issue where the automated ticket status change notifications were referencing the wrong status.
  • Ticket Subject is now required when creating a ticket from a Check In Form.
  • Fixed an issue where using both a Primary and Secondary Grouping in a Ticket View would result in an error.
  • Fixed an issue where the content of a customer reply would not display in the ticket.
  • Leads with invalid statuses can now be processed in the Leads table as they will display by default until the table is filtered by status.
  • Fixed an issue where images would fail to process in leads and tickets when a ticket automation was set to run at ticket creation.

Other

  • Fixed an issue where the 'Patching' tab would not display for technicians assigned to Security Groups for Select Customers with the permission granted.
  • Fixed an issue where you were unable to search for products using the "Enter" key on the keyboard numerical pad.
  • Fixed an issue with creating a new connection to Xero through the App Center.
